Imagine erecting commodity really cool with your blocks or LEGO — like a altitudinous palace or a castle with a secret passage — and also, crash! Someone bumps into the table, and it all falls down. Do you cry and stop playing, or do you smile, say” Alhamdulillah,” and try again? Prophet Ibrahim( alayhis salam ) had a heart like that — strong and trusting, indeed when effects got really hard. A long time agone , when Prophet Ibrahim( alayhis salam ) was a youthful boy, he lived in a megacity where people worshipped statues made of gravestone, wood, or complexion. Some had funny faces, big round eyes, or long tips, and indeed silly headdresses. But these statues could n’t talk, eat, or indeed sneeze. Can you imagine soliciting to commodity that just stands there like a sleepy potato? Indeed his father made these statues and vended them, but youthful Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) began to wonder,” How can commodity people make with their own hands be a god?”
One night, he looked at the stars, shining like shimmer in the sky, and think ,” perhaps this star is my Lord.” But when it faded, he said no. also he saw the moon, big and glowing like a tableware ball.” This must be my Lord,” he think , but the moon also faded down. The coming morning, the sun rose, bright and golden, and Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam) think ,” Surely this must be my Lord.” But when the sun also set, he eventually realized,” My Lord can not be commodity that disappears. My Lord is the One who made all of these!” SubhanAllah! That was when he knew deep in his heart that only Allah, the One who noway sleeps, noway disappears, and always watches with love, is good of deification.
But not everyone liked what Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam) was saying. The people came angry. They did n’t want to stop worshipping their statues. But Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam) noway yelled or acted poorly. He spoke kindly, indeed to his father.
One day, when everyone was down at a big festivity, Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam) went to the tabernacle and broke all the small statues but left the biggest one standing. also he put the dismissal in its hands. When the people returned, they were shocked!” Who did this?” they cried. Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) calmly said,” Ask the big statue. He has the dismissal!” Everyone goggled at the statue. It did n’t blink, talk, or move. Of course not — it was just a big knob of gemstone! also they said,” But it can not speak!” And Prophet Ibrahim( alayhis salam ) said,” also why do you supplicate to it?”
But rather of understanding, they came indeed more angry and erected a huge fire, so hot that catcalls could n’t fly near it. They tied up Prophet Ibrahim(alay his salam) and threw him into it, but Allah said to the fire,” O fire, be cool and safe for Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam).” And just like that, the dears turned into a calm and peaceful theater . Allah defended him, because he’d trusted Him with all his heart.
latterly, Allah gave Prophet Ibrahim(alayhis salam) a son named Ismail( alayhis salam), and he loved him veritably much. But Allah tested him again with a veritably hard test Allah asked him to immolate his son. Prophet Ibrahim(alai his salam) did n’t understand why, but he knew that Allah always knows what’s stylish. And when he was about to do it, Allah transferred a big ethereal ram to take Ismail’s place. SubhanAllah! That’s why Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al- Adha and do qurbani — immolating an beast and participating the meat with the poor, neighbors, and musketeers to flash back this story and say thank you to Allah for His mercy.
latterly, Prophet Ibrahim(alai his salam) and Ismail erected the Kaaba together in Makkah — the special cell- shaped house of Allah that Muslims face when they supplicate. While they placed the monuments, they made a beautiful dua, saying,” Our Lord, accept this from us. You’re the each- Hearing, the All- Knowing.” They were n’t erecting it to be notorious. They did it just to make Allah happy. Indeed moment, when we supplicate, we say,” Allahumma salli ‘ ala Ibrahim,” asking Allah to bless Prophet Ibrahim because he was one of the stylish people ever. He tutored us to use our minds, to be stalwart, to speak kindly, and to love Allah further than anything differently in the world.
